Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins (born in Mexico) is the Mexican American broadcaster. She is an ESPN anchor for news and also hosts SportsNation often. She began working for ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from the age of nine. Her ability was crucial in helping her get her first job as a producer assistant at Univision Miami in which she worked with the producers of shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Then she was hired by she was hired by the CBS station in St. Petersburg employed her as a sport reporter. In 2009, the news reporter relocated from St. Petersburg to Rio Grande Valley Texas where she was employed by KNVO TV 48 Univision as and Fox2 News. Her stories covered immigration, drug trafficking, and others on the Texas as well as the Mexico border. Also, she was an anchor and Spanish reporter for the newscast from 5 p.m. as well as anchor and reporter on the newscast at 9 p.m. with a reporter and anchor in English and again also a Spanish reporter from 10 p.m. She was also often asked to fill in as an anchor for weather and sports. Deportes 23 is Univision Dallasstation, which is where she takes on more responsibility. She was a reporter for the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys as well as the NBA Postseason and the finals for FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. She also produced Univision 23's local sports program Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she acted as anchor. She became a sports host on the morning show on Despierta America Deportes. Also, she was anchor of the sports segment for Primer Impacto, a magazine show on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents are from Veracruz Mexico. The city of Mexico City she was conceived on the 22nd November 1985. She has an older sister. Her family relocated into Miami in 1992, after having left Mexico. The couple divorced soon after and, in 1995, she married a naval designer named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died in 2006 of kidney cancer. The couple stayed in Canton Ohio with her older sister over the summer and was provided with a job. Antonietta was a senior high school student and had a clear idea of her goals for the future. She went to Mount Union University in order to find out if the school was suitable for her. It turned out that she was a fan of the campus as well as the fact that it provided the degree she was looking for. Her high school graduation was in the spring of 2004 and was enrolled in media studies at the University. The professor she had was Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM, and was student in her class, developed a lasting relationship with her. Mark Bergmann was the person who instilled her confidence, and his passion in Journalism touched her deeply. She strived to fulfill his expectations and never let him down.
