Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins (born in Mexico) is an Mexican American broadcaster. She is an ESPN news anchor and hosts SportsNation often. Since 2016, Collins has joined ESPN. She is the daughter television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bi-lingual and has been since when she was nine years old. The ability to speak two languages helped her to get her first position at Univision, Miami. She was able to work alongside national producers on shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Her next job was as an Sports Reporter for The CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. In 2009 she moved into Rio Grande Valley, Texas for work as an investigative reporter for KNVO TV 48 Univision. Spanish station KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. In 2009, she relocated to Rio Grande Valley, Texas, where she became an editor for KNVO48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. Also, she would fill in occasionally as a weather and sports anchor. Deportes 23 is Univision Dallas' affiliate, where she takes on more responsibility. She wrote pieces on Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS and World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. Apart from that she also co-hosted and produced Univision 23's Accion Deportiva Extra local sports show. The show was made a sports anchor for Despierta America Deportes' morning show. Also, she was an anchor on sports on Primer Impacto, a magazine show on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. They moved at some point to Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born in November 1985. Also, she has an older sister. She is the older sister. In the course of a few months, her father split from her mother. She later remarried in the year 1995 to a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away from kidney cancer in the year 2006. On a family vacation in Ohio, the younger Collins took a place with her older sister. At the time of her senior year in high school and yet with a clear idea what she wanted to do in her future, Antonietta visited the University of Mount Union to assess if it suited her requirements. It turned out that she enjoyed the university and that the school offered the major she wanted. Following her graduation from high school, she made the decision to go to the university and major with Media Studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor and also the head of WRMU, of which she's a member. They developed a close friendship. Mark's passion for journalism and her self-confidence encouraged her. She in turn, tried to meet his standards and not disappoint him.
