Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Collins is a Mexican American journalist. She is currently a sportscaster for ESPN, working as anchor for SportsCenter reports and hosts SportsNation. She joined ESPN as a news anchor in the year 2016. She is the daughter of the television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native speaker of two languages. Since she was nine, Collins's ability to communicate in two languages helped her get the job she wanted in Miami as a production assistant at Univision. In her position, she had the opportunity to work with national producers such as Nuestra Belleza Latina. Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Additionally, she was host of on the regional Univision 23 sports show Accion Deportiva Extra. The show was promoted to be a sports anchor for Despierta America Deportes' morning show. In the same capacity, she worked for Primer Impacto (a network magazine) and Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports show). Antonietta's parents hail native to Veracruz Mexico. At some point they relocated into Mexico City where she was born on 22 November 1985. She has a sister. In 1992 the family left Mexico for the US and eventually settled in Miami. Her parents divorced soon after and her mother remarried one of the naval architects known as Fabio Fajardo who passed away from kidney cancer in 2006. She stayed with her family in Canton Ohio with her older sister during the summer, where she had been provided with the opportunity of a job. Still a senior in high school but having a clear vision of about what she wanted to pursue in her future, Antonietta went to her local University of Mount Union to examine if it was a good fit for her preferences. It was an amazing campus. It also gave her the degree she wanted. After completing her studies, she was admitted to the university for a master's degree of media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor as well as the director of WRMU, of which she's a part. They had a very close relationship. Her professor, Mark Bergmann, inspired her with his enthusiasm for journalism. Additionally, he profoundly influenced her.
