Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toniz Collins (born in Mexico) is the Mexican American broadcaster. She works as an ESPN anchor on news, and she hosts SportsNation at times. She joined ESPN as a news anchor in the year 2016. She is the daughter television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from the time she turned nine. The ability that helped her get her first position as an Univision production assistant in Miami. There, she worked with the producers of television shows that were national, like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. The CBS subsidiary in St. Petersburg hired her in the following year as a sports reporter. In 2009 she moved into Rio Grande Valley to work as a journalist for KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. She covered stories about the issue of immigration and trafficking drugs throughout Texas and Mexico. Also, she would fill in occasionally as a weather and sports anchor. She was then the anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. In the following years, she was given greater responsibilities. She also did segments on the Major League Baseball's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason as well as the Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. In addition, she hosted her own local Univision 23 sports show Accion Deportiva Extra. She was hired as sports anchor for Despierta America Deportes for their morning show. She also served as an anchor on sports for Primer Impacto, a magazine show on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins was born and raised in the city of Veracruz, Mexico. The girl was born on November 22nd the 22nd of November, 1984 in Mexico City. There is an older sister. She has an older sister. After a while, her parents separated and in 1995 Fabio Fajardo remarried. He died from kidney cancer in the year 2006. The couple stayed at Canton Ohio with her older sister over the summer and was given a job. Antonietta was a senior in high school with an idea of what she would like her life to look like, traveled to Mount Union University to see whether the university was suitable for her. At the end of the day she was enthralled with the school. The university offered her major. After completing her studies, she was accepted into the University with a degree studying media and communication studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor and also the head of WRMU in which she's a member. They had a very close relationship. Mark's passion for journalism and confidence in herself inspired her. In turn, she was determined to achieve the standards he set and to not let him down.
