Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toniz Collins (born in Mexico) is a Mexican American sportscaster. She is the host of SportsNation as well as a SportsCenter anchor. She was hired by ESPN in 2016. Her mother is the reporter for television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bi-lingual and has been for a long time, starting at her age of nine. The ability to speak two languages helped her to get her first position at Univision, Miami. She worked with national producers on programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Following this it was announced that she was hired by the CBS affiliate located in St. Petersburg employed her as a reporter for sports. After 2009, the news reporter moved into Rio Grande Valley Texas where she worked for KNVO TV 48 Univision as in addition to Fox2 News. Reporters covered issues related to the issue of immigration and trafficking drugs across both Texas and Mexico. She was also frequently required to act as a weather and sports anchor. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate where she took on additional duties. She wrote for The NBA, Dallas Cowboys' postseason, NBA ALDS ALCS World Series or Finals FC Dallas. In addition, she also hosted and produced Univision 23's Accion Deportiva Extra local sports show. She became a sports host on the morning show that is Despierta America Deportes. She served in the same role for the network's magazine show Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collin's parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. The city of Mexico City she was conceived on the 22nd November 1985. She is the elder sibling of her parents. In 1992, the family moved to Miami after relocating from Mexico to the US. After a short time, her father divorced from her mother. She was subsequently remarried by 1995 naval architect whose name was Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away of kidney carcinoma in 2006. It was during a holiday in the summer that she lived with her sister in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl was offered an employment. Antonietta was the senior of her high school, but she had a very clear vision of what she wanted to do in her future career. She visited Mount Union University to see if it was a good fit for her. The campus was a dream for her. It also gave her the program she was interested in. She completed her schooling and was accepted to the University as a major studying media and communication studies. Mark Bergmann, her professor who also managed WRMU's 91.1FM station, where she was employed for many years, became her friend. Her professor urged her to be confident and was greatly moved by his passion for journalism.
