Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Collins is an Mexican American Sportscaster. She hosts SportsNation and is an anchor for SportsCenter anchor. The first time she worked for ESPN in the year 2016. She is the child of TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is a bilingual since she was nine years old. It was a helpful ability that allowed her to secure her first job working as an assistant to the producer for Univision in Miami that gave her the chance to work with the producers of national programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. After this, the CBS station of St. Petersburg employed her as a sport reporter. She moved in 2009 from Rio Grande Valley, Texas for work as an anchor for the newscast of the Spanish station KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. Covering stories on immigration and drug-trafficking on both sides of Mexico-Texas border, she was a reporter for newscasts at 5 p.m. Spanish newscast a reporter and later anchor of news at 9 p.m. newscast, which was in English as well as an anchor for the news at 10:30 p.m. Spanish newscast. Also, she was a substitute for sports anchors and weather forecasters. Then she became anchor and reporter on Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. The station then gave her larger responsibilities. She produced pieces about Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS as well as the World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason Finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. Then, they moved to Mexico City and she was born there on the 22nd of November, 1985. Her older sister is also hers. The family moved into Miami in 1992, after having left Mexico. The couple divorced shortly thereafter and, in 1995, she married a naval designer named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died in 2006 of kidney cancer. The couple stayed with her family in Canton Ohio with her older sister in the summertime, where she had been provided with a job. Antonietta was an incoming senior in high school, but she had a very clear vision of what she wanted to do in her future career. She went to Mount Union University in order to find out if the school was suitable for her. In the end, she fell in love with the university. They also offered her a an academic major. After finishing high school, she made the decision to attend the University to pursue a degree with Media Studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor as well as the director of WRMU in which she's a member. They had a very close relationship. Professor Bergmann was a great influence on her with his enthusiasm for journalism. Also, he deeply affected her.
