Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toniz Collins, also known as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins in the United States as well as Mexico, is a Mexican-American sportscaster. She is currently an ESPN sportscaster. ESPN and is an anchor of SportsCenter news and hosting SportsNation. The first time she worked for ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta has been bilingual since age nine. Her skills were instrumental in helping her get her first position as producer assistant at Univision Miami, where she worked with the producers of numerous shows, including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. After this, her CBS station located in St. Petersburg employed her as a reporter for sports. Then she moved into Rio Grande Valley in 2009 as a reporter for one of the Spanish stations KNVO TV 48 Univision, and Fox2 News. Covering stories on the issue of immigration and drug trafficking from both sides of the Texas-Mexico border, she served as an anchor for the 5 p.m. Spanish newscast a anchor and reporter for news at 9 p.m. newscast in English, and an anchor for the 10 p.m. Spanish newscast. Also, she was often asked to serve as an anchor for sports and weather. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate and she assumed other responsibilities. She covered The Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys and NBA Postseason as well as the Finals FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. Additionally, she was the producer of the local Univision 23 sports program Accion Deportiva Extra on which she served as the anchor herself. She became a sports host for the morning show of Despierta America Deportes. The anchor also worked in the same capacity for the network's magazine show Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins was a native of Veracruz, Mexico. Eventually, they settled in Mexico City and she was born there on the 22nd of November, 1985. She has an older sister. In 1992 the family left Mexico for the US and settled in Miami. In 1992, her parents separated soon after. In 1995, she remarried Fabio Fajardo, naval engineer, who passed away in 2006 due to kidney cancer. She stayed at Canton Ohio with her older sister during the summer and was provided with an opportunity to work. Antonietta was a senior high school student, but she had a very clear vision of her career goals. She went to Mount Union University to see if it was a good fit for her. It turned out that she enjoyed the university, and the university had the program she desired. She graduated from high school and enrolled into media school at the college. Mark Bergmann was her professor as well as the director of WRMU and WRMU, which she's a part. They formed a strong friendship. He inspired her to have confidence and his enthusiasm for journalism deeply affected her. She in turn, strived to fulfill his standards and never fail him.
