Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is an Mexican American journalist. She hosts SportsNation and serves as an anchor for SportsCenter anchor. She began working for ESPN as a news anchor in the year 2016. Her mother is Maria Antonieta Collins, a TV reporter. Antonietta Collins has been bi-lingual since nine years old, a valuable talent that enabled her to get her first position in the production department with Univision in Miami which provided her with the opportunity to be a part of the production team for national shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Her next assignment was a Sports Reporter at the CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. In 2009, she relocated away from Texas to Rio Grande Valley where she was a news reporter at KNVO TV 48 Univision. In 2009, she moved to Rio Grande Valley in Texas, where she became a reporter for KNVO 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. In addition, she was an anchor for anchors of sports and weather forecasters. Later, she was anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. In the following years, she was given greater responsibilities. She also wrote articles on The NBA, Dallas Cowboys' postseason, NBA ALDS ALCS World Series or Finals FC Dallas. In addition, she also hosted and produced Univision 23's Accion Deportiva Extra local sports show. She was a host of sports on the morning show of Despierta America Deportes. Also, she was a sports anchor for Primer Impacto, a magazine show on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins was born and raised in Veracruz Mexico. At some point they relocated to Mexico City where she was born on 22 November 1985. She is more mature than her younger sister. There is an older sibling. Then, shortly afterward the family split up, and, in 1995 Fabio Fajardo remarried. He died from kidney cancer in the year 2006. It was during a time of summer when she was with her sister at Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had secured an employment. Antonietta was a senior high school student, but she had a clear idea of her career goals. She visited Mount Union University in order to find out if the school was suitable for her. It was a beautiful campus as well as offered the level of education she wanted. After completing her studies, she was accepted to the University as a major studying media and communication studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor - was also the director of WRMU (91.1 FM), where she belonged. The professor encouraged her to have self-confidence and was deeply moved by his love of journalism.
